Located in the midwest, "The Heartland of America" Creation At Play consist of its two founding members J.H. Whitlock and Karli Whitlock. 

Creation At Play aims to tell stories that capture the history of our world in film. Filtered through albeit, an unconventional lens (rejecting reality is a bit of a mantra around here).

Our goal is to work with an ever-changing roster with the hopes of eventually finding our dream team. Once we've found our "merry band of misfits" the next step will be to tackle feature films! 

We believe that real indie filmmaking takes a village. Everyone wears many hats and contributes wherever they can.

• Creation at Play is based in Lincoln, Nebraska. It was founded in 2020.

• When J.H. designed the production logo, his mom suggested the boy holding a camera on his bicycle - something she remembered J.H. doing as a young boy. 

• Abandoned production company names include: 2H1B, Team Koala and Bitter Root films.

• The mascot "Kylie the wombat" was created for our feature film and hides in every short.

• Our first short film "Atomic Zombies was 100% self-funded.
